Laura qualified as a Wills and Probate Solicitor in 2012 and worked in a Law Firm until January 2015, when she joined the British Red Cross as a Legacy Officer. The move to the charity sector was relatively smooth as her background provided her with many of the skills that are required for the role. After just shy of 3 years at the British Red Cross, Laura left to join the British Heart Foundation as a Legacy Officer. She has since been promoted to Senior Legacy Officer and now also manages two Legacy Administrators. Laura deals with a wide range of cases from residuary matters to complex files, including claims against the estate and land development. She regularly works alongside other charities and corresponds with professionals and non-professionals administering estates. Laura finds that no two matters are ever the same, meaning that she is continuously widening her knowledge and experience.
