Samantha graduated with a History degree from the University of Kent. After graduating in 2013, she spent some time volunteering with a youth drug abuse prevention charity in Houston, Texas as she had family who lived over there. Volunteering in the offices and meeting the people who were helped by the charity made her want to work in the charity sector full time. Her first role was as a Legacy Assistant at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home where she furthered and developed her understanding of the legacy industry until 2016, when she joined Cancer Research UK on a fixed term maternity cover contract, as an Assistant Legacy Officer. She then made the transition to become a Legacy Officer and, in 2018, she became Legacy Administration Manager at Parkinson’s UK.
